Randy was born February 12, 1949 in Oakland, NE. He was raised in Wakefield, NE by his parents, Merle and Lois Schwarten.
He enlisted in the Navy after High School Graduation in 1967. After basic training Randy was sent to Vietnam, assigned to a rocket launcher ship. They went up up and down Cam Rahn Bay keeping the hillside safe from the enemy. Randy served for two years then returned to Nebraska.
Randy headed to Colorado in 1977, where he made his home. He eventually obtained a job with the Denver Parks and Recreation, retiring 33 years later.
Randy was always active joining many clubs over the years. He was a member of the Corvette Club, FRAPA (Tractor Club), and the Aurora Gun Club.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Lois, and brothers, Brad and Doug.
Randy is survived by his wife, Christine, his sister Kathy, and numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
