Randal Blair Parker, 58, died peacefully on November 22, 2012 after a short battle with cancer.  His wife, Karen Pelham Parker, was by his side as he entered the presence of Jesus from the beauty of a Destin afternoon.

Randy was born October 3, 1954 to the late Lt. Col. Lincoln Parker and Mary Parker of Fort Walton Beach.  Their first son, Randy had an incredible curiosity and love for airplanes.

After graduating from Choctawhatchee High School in 1972, Randy attended Florida State University and graduated in 1980 from the University of West Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology.

Following his graduation, Randy served in the Naval Reserves as an officer.  After that, he enjoyed a career as an airline dispatcher in Utah, United Arab Emirates, and Las Vegas.

Four months ago, on July 21, 2012, Randy married the love of his life, Karen Pelham, and they had just begun their life together when he received his cancer diagnosis.  Karen encouraged and strengthened Randy as he dealt with this aggressive and debilitating cancer.

Randy is survived by his wife, Karen; his mother, Mary; his brother Rick (Suzee) Parker of Huntsville, AL, and their children Holly, Austin, and Johnny; and his sister Kelly Bell (Jim) of Colorado Springs, CO, and their children Jamie, Mary, Brian, and Stephanie.
