Ramona June Betten Wiesley passed away peacefully at home on February 26th, 2022, after a short battle with brain cancer. Ramona was born in Denver, Colorado to Rita Delores and Elmer John Betten on April 25, 1935. She entered this world one year, one month, and one day after her beloved sister Betty.

It was a happy time growing up on Delaware Street in Denver, Colorado. When Elmer was drafted to the Second World War, Rita and the girls moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to be closer to family. After Elmer’s discharge, the family settled in Bellevue, Nebraska where Ramona met her dear friend Lois Heckman, graduated high school, participated in the Junior Chamber of Commerce, and was active in St.

Ramona worked for the railroad in the accounting department for eleven years where she met the love of her life, Barton Wiesley. They married on October 5th, 1963, and relocated to Chicago, Illinois. Ramona enjoyed raising her own growing family of four small children in the close-knit neighborhood in Westmont.

In 1970, Ramona and family found their way to White Bear Lake, Minnesota, where life was celebrated on Riviera Court. Carol and Roger Keith quickly became family, and this relationship would see them through many changes in their lives. Ramona, an active member of St.

Leaving White Bear was difficult; however, Ramona looked at each move as an opportunity. The two years they spent in West Central Illinois allowed them to reconnect with nearby extended family and have new experiences. Ramona perfected her carving skills by taking a class with a new friend.

Ramona made her last move to Kansas City, Missouri where she enjoyed her apartment on the 12th floor, her independence, and coffee or wine with friends and family. She never failed to appreciate how her plants thrived in her sunny home and her view of the setting sun.
