Ramona Lee Davis-Fox, affectionately known as “Grandma Fox”. She was born the oldest child of 7 children to Harry L. Davis and Edna Mae Davis on November 7th, 1954 in Chicago Illinois.
At an early age, Ramona professed a hope in Christ and was baptized into ellowship.
Ramona received her education through the Chicago Public school system attending McKinley Upper Grade Center. Upon moving to Indianapolis in 1968 she attended and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School.
Ramona was united in holy matrimony to Joseph Alphonso Fox in Indianapolis, IN. She was employed by Super Value Grocery Store until the company closed. She was then employed at Indiana Bus System/ VanComn/Laidlaw and Perry Township. She began her journey in the transportation industry as a bus driver, moved to dispatcher, and later advanced Supervisor of Transportation at Perry Township.
Ramona was a loving mother to her children, a devoted grandmother, and friend to all that knew her. She was also a loving sister and best friend to her younger siblings.
Ramona was an adventurous soul who enjoyed many activities like listening to Motown, creating arts & craft projects, and traveling to destination vacations, especially Myrtle Beach.
Ramona was a phenomenal leader in all aspects of her life who always knew the right thing to say or do to overcome any obstacle in her way. We will always miss her kind words of wisdom, advice, and beautiful smile.
Ms. Ramona Lee Davis Fox departed this life on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the age of 66 years and 16 days to begin a new life. She was proceeded in death by her (Mother) Edna Mae Davis, (Father) Harry L. Davis, (Step Father) Willie Clyde Coleman, (Brother) Colby Davis, (Niece) Twana Smith, and (Nephew) Clifford Jackson.
She will forever be missed for she leaves behind to cherish her memories: (Sons) Vivan Davis, Ramon Fox, (Daughter) Stephanie Fox, (Companion) Johnny Murry, (Bonus Daughter) Nicole Pippin, (Step Mother) Crystal Davis, (Brothers) Harry Davis Jr., Shane Davis, (Step-Brothers) Teddrick Campbell, Terrance Campbell, DonnieRay Harris, (Sisters) Sylvania “Toni” Davis, Beatrice Davis, Sharon Davis-Jackson, (Step Sister) Brandi Campbell; 10 grandchildren: Brandie Davis, Brandon Fox, Erin Davis, Ramon Fox, Kiona Griffin, Taylor Davis, Raiona Griffin, Raynika Fox, Hannaniah Davis, Ezra Davis; 13 great grandchildren: Jeremiah, Justin, Jayla, Joslynn, Ky’Leigh, Kaiden, London, Ryn, Ramon Jr.
