Ramona E. Jacobs, 79, of Auburndale, FL and formerly of Middletown, wife of Howard E. Jacobs, Jr., passed away on Thursday, April 8th at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Keene, NH she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Beryl (Alexander) Sherrick of Gilsum, NH. Ramona attended Gilsum schools and graduated from Keene High School, Keene, NH in 1948. Upon graduation she moved to Middletown where she worked for Middlesex Memorial Hospital and later for SNET for approximately 10 years. She was a past Noble Grand and member of Friendly Rebakah Lodge #49 of Portland for more than 50 years, a member of the Mattabassett Grange and LEA one of the charter members of the Lazy Susan Craft Club, and a member of the Red Hat Society in Auburndale, FL. In 1976 she and her husband and three of their six children moved to East Thetford, VT to develop The Rest n’ Nest Travel Trailer Campground which they owned and operated for 30 years.
