Ramona Roybal Acedo, 98, resident of Santa Clara peacefully finished her journey at Fort Bayard Medical Center on the morning of December 27, 2017.
Ramona was born on September 5, 1919 in Sherman to Martin Roybal and Juana Leyba and was raised in the Mimbres area. On April 13, 1996, Ramona accepted the Lord as her Savior and was a faithful member of the Apostolic Church. Because she was not able to have any children, she surrounded herself with dogs, cats, birds and a collection of dolls. Before Ramona became homebound she loved to spend her days with friends and she will be remembered for her quick wit and great sense of humor.
Ramona is survived by her brother, Antonio Roybal; sister, Mary Murillo; special nieces, Christina Salido (Enrique) and Janie Victorino of Manteca, CA; many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Acedo; siblings, Benigno Roybal, Remijio Roybal, Ernestina Soliz, Belen Martinez, Estella Tuhey, Samuel Roybal and Jesse Castillo.
