Ramon ” Ray” Davis ,77, of Clyde, died at his home on Saturday, October 11, 2014.
“Ray” was born in Cotulla, Texas on December 18, 1936 to Juan and Mary (Salazar) Davis. He attended Clyde Schools; was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and formerly had been a Clyde Little League coach.
He was very handy with his hands, renovating and maintaining many properties in town.
Mr. Davis was a US Navy veteran. He retired from the City of Clyde in 1994 as the Superintendent of Street Dept.
On June 29, 1969, he married Enriqueta Ramirez. She along with three children, Joaquin (Jodi) Davis, Toledo; Lisa Marie Davis, New York and Ketina (Andrew) Kobylka, Toledo. One grandson, Athaniel Kobylka also survives.
Additional survivors include four sisters, Rose Hillenbrand, Toledo; Maria Norman, Clyde; Diana Baker, Fremont; Dora Byers, Perrysburg; four brothers, Jesse Davis, Sandusky; Joe Davis, Fremont; Roy DAvis, Main and Greg Davis, Colorado.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Theresa Fultz and Cecilia Ferguson; and one brother, John Davis.
