Ramon Alfonso Peña III, “MoMo-Fonzy”, 18, lifelong Deming resident passed away on Wednesday September 2, 2009 in a tragic automobile accident north of Deming.

He was born March 5, 1991 to Ramon A. Peña Jr. and Kimberly Natasha Culak in Deming. “MoMo-Fonzy”, as he was affectionately known, was a senior student at Deming High School set to graduate in the Class of 2010. Mechanics, working at his father’s service station and towing service were an important part of his life. Harley-Davidson Motorcycles were just as important enjoying riding hard and living free. He was a communicant at St. Ann’s Catholic Church and his family and friends were an intimate part of his life.

He is survived by his father, Ramon Peña and step-mother, Vanessa Perez; mother, Natasha Peña and step-father, Benny Jasso; sisters, Britney Peña and Aundrea Peña; grandfathers, Ramon Peña, Jay Spivey and Buddy Nunn; grandmothers, Janet Robinson and Joanna Spivey; step-brothers, Eric and Jeremy Jasso and Noah Castorena; step-sisters, Jennifer Jasso Sanchez, Julissa and Sabrina Castorena; uncles, Trevor Teague, Victor Peña, Paul Sanchez & Elizardo Zamora; aunts, Teresa P. Sanchez, Mary Perez Peña, Susanna Peña and Bennita Peña; cousins, Cera Sanchez, John Baca, Amanda Sanchez, Daniel and Isabel Jimenez, Brianna, Alicia, Dominic, Danielle, Victor Jr., & Tatiana Peña, Jennifer Nuñez Spivey, Daniel Villareal and many other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Emil Robert Culak, grandmother, Frances Gallosa Peña and uncle, Efren Peña.
