Ralph Berry “Bud” Simcoe, 85, of Scottsdale, Arizona went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 4th, 7 months to the day after losing his wife, Helen, of 65 years. He was dearly loved by his daughters, Tobi and Tracy, and their husbands, Craig and Dave. He was “Papa” to grandchildren Scott, Tyler, Catherine, Katie, Trent and Davis and their spouses Sarah, Cory and Rachel and great grandson, Charlie.
Bud was born in Yale, Oklahoma on August 2, 1929, to Ralph and Dorothy Simcoe. Bud attended Oklahoma State University where he was a member of the wrestling team and Sigma Chi fraternity. Ralph and Helen married and lived in New Mexico while Ralph owned a sale barn and roped cattle in the rodeo circuit. He became an officer and jet fighter pilot in the United States Air Force. He and Helen lived in Florida, Texas, Wyoming, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arizona. They were involved in several retail businesses, owned restaurants and worked together in the oil and gas industry for many years. They had a second home in Santa Fe, New Mexico and enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends prior to moving to Scottsdale.
