Ralph L. Carmean Jr. 84, of Leonore, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Carmean was born May 26, 1932 in Streator Hospital to Ralph L. and Josephine (Neighbor) Carmean. He was a graduate of Streator High School. He married Lorraine F. Bacon on July 16, 1953 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Sunbury Township, Blackstone, Illinois.
Mr. Carmean was a licensed horseshoer and a truck driver. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Leonore. He enjoyed golf, cowboy action shooting, archery and was a blacksmith.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; five children, Gary D. Carmean of Leonore, Diana (Doc) Schorn-Winkler of Lostant, Randall S. (Kathryn) Carmean of Tonica and Herb Carmean and Mark (Michelle) Carmean both of Leonore; eight grandchildren, Kira Carmean Pfeffinger, Damon and Dena Schorn, Gary Carmean Jr., Katie, Shannon, Megan and Matthew Carmean and one sister, Mary Jo Pinto of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Donald Schorn. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
