Ralph E. Rudy, 90, of Freeport, died Sunday, October 31, 2004, at the FHN Lena Nursing Center.

Born July 27, 1914 in McConnell he was the son of John and Ida (Nickel) Rudy. He married Alice Bokemeier June 19, 1938 and she died December 7, 1984.He was a Stephenson County farmer until his retirement in 1986.He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Stephenson County Farm Bureau since 1940, and was a former board member of Blackhawk P.C.A. An avid Green Bay Packer fan he enjoyed playing cards, his beef cattle, and most of all spending time with his family and friends,

Surviving are two daughters, Carol( special friend, Alvin Durward) Klenke of Warren and Karen (Richard) Mack of Poynette, Wisconsin; one son, Lyle (Sharon) Rudy of Oregon, Wisconsin; one daughter in-law, Connie Rudy of Freeport; one brother, Elwyn Rudy of Freeport; 14 grandchildren, Vickie (Dennis) Dawson, Crystal (Jeff) Bartell, David (Toni) Wehrenberg, Mark (Janet) Wehrenberg all of Warren, Julie (Fred) Reddies, Rick (Jackie) Wehrenberg, Troy (LeAnne) Rudy, Tanya (Jeremy) Mathews all of Freeport, Tricia (Ryan) Byington of Davis, Jason (Beth) Rudy of Madison, Wisconsin, Stacie (Dan) Rudy Noyce of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, Marcie (Joshua) Covel of Bloomington, Minnesota, Regan (Sarah) Mack of Bow, N.H., Regina (Gregory) Kurth of Geneva; 23 great grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild, 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; one son, Lynn Rudy; 2 sisters, Ruth Burgett and Dorothy Minnier; 3 infant grandchildren.
