Those left to honor Ralph’s memory are his mother, Ruth Vanderzyl of Newton; 2 brothers, Herbert L. “Lance” (and Gloria) Vanderzyl of Yuma, Arizona and Tom Vanderzyl of Knoxville, Iowa; his niece and nephews, Jared, Jeremy, and Janessa; and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, S. Herbert Vanderzyl in 2006.
Ralph was a graduate of Newton High School in 1968. He worked as a Tech in Production at the Maytag Company for over 30 years.
