Rafael Colon, 82, of Fountain Hill, died Saturday, August 21, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Maria Rivera. Born in Barcenoleta, Puerto Rico, he was son of the late Marco Colon and Anna Gonzalez, and the oldest of their 15 children. Rafael worked as a dock worker for the 7up Bottling Co. in PR. He was a member of Basilio Huertas Community Center in Bethlehem and the Latin American Motorcycle Assn. Survivors: he will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Maritza Maldonado of Fountain Hill, Sandra Colon of Bethlehem, Carmen Colon of NY, Elba Colon and son Jose Colon both of PR; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
