Rae Alan Bressler, 50, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on Dec. 18, 1960, in South Bend to the late Dale E. and Eileen Mae (Gropp) Bressler Sr.
Rae is survived by his daughters; Amy Gullotta of Elkhart and Jennifer Yaddow and his granddaughter, Hannah, of Edwardsburg, Mich. Also surviving are brothers Philip J. (Gwen) Bressler of Springfield, La., Dean L. (Barb) Bressler Sr. of Lakeville and Mathew L. Bressler of Plainwell, Mich.; a sister, Diana G. (Brad) Place of Glencoe, Minn., and a sister-in law, Becky Bressler of Edwardsburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a loving extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dale E. Bressler Jr.
Rae worked at CMI in shipping and receiving for 16 years and was a very active member of New Hope United Methodist. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1980 until his honorable discharge in 1984.
