Our loving daughter and sister, Rachelle Loraine Morales Holdaway, 48, was called home on December 4, 2021, due to complications from Covid. She was born on January 12, 1973, in Ogden Utah, the daughter of Juan Munoz and Dora Armenta Morales.
Rachelle grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School class of 1991. She lived in many places around the Wasatch Front but later settled down in her hometown of Ogden where she could be close to her family.
She married Barry Holdaway and became a mother to stepdaughter Kasandra who she loved very, very much. They later divorced but being a mother was one of the most important parts of her life.
Rachelle was a free spirit who always lived in the moment. She was a child of the 80’s and loved all the music and movies of the era. She was especially a fan of the horror movie gerne. One of her true favorites was “The Lost Boys”. Rachelle loved all animals. She opened her heart and home to foster several dogs and cats over the last few years.
Above everything, family was the most important thing to her. She loved and maintained contact with her aunts and cousins. She enjoyed the time she had with her niece Ripley always making sure they had a close relationship. She was also very proud of her father’s military service in all branches, especially as a U.S. Marine.
Rachelle is survived by her mother and father; Dora and Juan Morales, brother Jayson (Angel) Morales and niece Ripley Morales. Preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts and uncles.
