Rachel Suzanne Thorup, born on June 22nd of 2012, was delivered from the arms of her parents to the arms of her loving and merciful Heavenly Father during the early hours of Friday, June 3, 2016. As was her nature, she ended her two and a half year battle with cancer still fighting, always filled with love and concern for her family. She was encircled by her family as she was welcomed into the spirit world by family and loved ones already there awaiting her. She is remembered and cherished in love and gratitude by her parents, Richard and Salem (Pearson) Thorup; and her two older siblings, Felicity and Patrick Thorup; as their adored angel who knew what she wanted and would never settle for less. They will always cherish the memories of her love for animals, dancing, painting, and Shrek. They will miss her sassy peace-making, her hugs, and kisses. They’ll miss her singing and her vivacity and her love of life. They will always be grateful to feel her love and protection from the other side of the veil and to know that she will help usher her little sister, Cosette Rachel Thorup, into this world come the end of July. She is also survived by her grandparents: Gary and Sue Thorup and David Milo and Linnea Pearson; her great grandparents: Cap and Suzanne Ferry and Edwin Petersen; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Leaving us just shy of her fourth birthday, Rachel was the perfect example of fortitude, devotion, and love.
