Mrs. Rachel Love Simpson Henderson, 85, of 614 E. Greene St, Monroe, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 26, 2018 at her residence. She was married to Jerry Ray Henderson before his passing in 2002. She was a member of Friendly Baptist Church and was a retired printer for Herff Jones after 40 years of service. Mrs. Henderson enjoyed Gospel Singings, Square Dancing, and time with the family at the Beach and the Mountains. She also enjoyed shopping with all the girls on the annual “NO BOYS ALLOWED” Christmas shopping spree at the beach. She was the most loving person and was always caring for others, putting them before herself. You never had to worry about food for she always made sure you were fed. Her greatest treasure is the family she loved so dearly.
She is preceded in death by her Husband Jerry, Parents Smith and Lola Simpson, her 4 brothers Paul, Wayne, Dean and Joe Simpson and her sister Dot Price.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister Faye S. Kiger, her Daughters Kathy Wright (Robert) of Marshville, Kenda Griffin (Rev. Marty) of Marshville, and Terry Bowers (Kenny) of Monroe. She had 7 Grandchildren, Michelle Wright (Michael Albright), Misty Kohnle (Christian), Chris Griffin (Kim), Randall Griffin (Jennifer), Kristy Elliott, Amber Myers (Jason) and Kenneth Bowers, Jr. Also, 11 Great-Grandchildren, Joey Kimberlin, Justin Guiney, Peyton Kohnle, Riley, Oakley, Haven and Gentry Griffin, and Lexi, Jayden and Emma Bowers and Parker Myers.
