Nadine attended Larned Public Schools and was graduated in 1936. She then attended Salt City Business College in Hutchinson, Kansas. Nadine and Kenneth were married on March 19, 1939, and had 67 years of shared love. They raised their family on their Rush County farm where she was a hardworking farm wife and dedicated mother and grandmother. Her children describe her as a feisty, caring, practical mom who always put others first. She was a fabulous seamstress who sewed many prom and wedding dresses, as well as every day clothes and numerous angel and shepherd costumes for church plays. A devoted Christian and long-term member of the First Christian Church, LaCrosse, KS, Nadine fried many baskets of chicken for picnics, taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and helped in any other way she could.

Nadine joined the angels on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her parents, five sisters, and two brothers. All her life she missed her playmate and sister, Lorraine, who died when Nadine was about 10 years old.
