Mr. Quinton Vinson, 96, died Friday, May 17, 2019, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford, MS..M….M..Born in Pontotoc, MS to the late Adam Miclay and Carrie Belle Baker Vinson, Mr. Vinson was a retired farmer. He had worked at Sunny Downs Farms and the Abbeville gin.  He was an avid hunter, and earned the nickname “Coon Hunter.” After retiring he busied himself with woodworking especially making folding tables and selling them at First Monday in Ripley, MS. Along with his parents, Mr..Mr. Vinson is survived by his daughters, Bettye Jane Vinson and her husband, Dee, of Oxford, MS and Shirley Ann Antar and her husband, Walid, of Maldin, MA; son, Hubbard Harold Vinson of Oxford, MS; sisters, Emma Bell Vance of Mrytle, MS and Lilliam Bishop of Plano, IL; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.. Vinson’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (Mississippi Chapter), 207 West Jackson Street, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
