Quentin Rohrer, age 70, of Humboldt, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Fort Dodge Health and Rehabilitation Center. Quentin Charles Rohrer was born on March 30, 1944 to Cyril and Gladys (Anderson) Rohrer in Clarion, IA. Quentin grew up in Eagle Grove, IA and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1963. After graduation, Quentin joined the National Guard.
On October 12, 1968, Quentin was united in marriage to Lora Isenberger in Fort Dodge, IA. Quentin was a Machinist at National Gypsum in Fort Dodge for many years until a back injury forced him into less strenuous work. Quentin loved being in nature. Gardening, bird watching and walking on the trails were his favorite pastime activities.
Quentin is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lora of Humboldt; their children, sons Phil (Melvi) of Grandview, MO, Tadd (Martha) of Norcross, GA, Eric of Winder, GA, Steve of San Francisco, CA, Stu of Lawrenceville, GA, Patrick of Denver, CO, and daughters Erin (Alex) of Humboldt, IA and Dani of Lawrenceville, GA; his sisters Karen (Daryl) Watts of Eagle Grove, IA and Carol (Ray) Heim of Humboldt, IA; his brothers Paul (Phyllis) Rohrer of Eagle Grove, IA and David (Caryln) Rohrer of Albia, IA; along with numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Roberta Kroblin and two infant siblings.
