Prescott “Buzz” Harris, 82, of Norwalk, died on June 26, 2010 at the CT Hospice in Branford after a fight with cancer. He was born in Randolph, MA on July 11, 1928 to the late Helen and Prescott Harris of Stoughton, MA. He graduated from Stoughton HS and went on to receive a BA degree in Government from Bates College in 1952. He was married to Grace Ulrich Harris for 58 years.
Buzz began working for Milliken Woolens in Lewiston, ME and transferred to New York City to the sales office in 1960 at which time he moved to Norwalk, CT. Over the years, Buzz had a varied career in the textile business.
He is survived by his wife Grace; his daughter Gail and husband Orrie Zolluccio of Wilton; his son Dana and his wife Carole and his 4 grandchildren Jess, Kate, Sara and Evan Harris of Brookfield, CT. He is also survived by a sister Lois Ullock of Stoughton, MA. He was predeceased by a brother Richard Harris and a sister June LaRiccia.
He was a member of the Shore and Country Club for 45 years. He loved his family, sports and politics.
