Prentiss C. Belcher, 86, Anderson, died May 3, 2011 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after a brief illness.
He was born May 21, 1924 in Roaring Fork, Virginia. Prentiss retired from City Plating in Indianapolis where he was a Crome Plater. He also served his country during WWII in the United States Army. He received the Purple Heart, Silver Star and Infantry Badge.
He is survived by his wife whom he married in February 4, 1947, Ethel Ernestine Burke Belcher. Children; Theresa Belcher Randy, John M. Belcher Karen, Billy L. Belcher, Martha J. Sexton Ed, David M. Belcher Robin and Charles P. Belcher Linda. 74 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Marshall and Ethel Dorton Belcher, three brothers and two sisters.
