Phyllis J. (Fleener) Szatkowski, 75, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at I.U. Health Hospice House. Born August 20, 1937 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Rufus and Elizabeth (Fleener) Fleener. Phyllis worked in sales at JC Penney stores in Bloomington, Columbus, OH and Wisconsin.
She was a 1955 graduate of University High School and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, 3501 N. Prow Rd. Bloomington, IN 47404. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, David L. Szatkowski, two sons, Ron Szatkowski of Columbus, OH, Roger Szatkowski of Bedford, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Randy Szatkowski, one sister, Maxine Fleener, two brothers, Leon and LeRoy Fleener.
