Phyllis was born on Thursday, March 1, 1928 in Greenwood, Indiana to the late Earl Richarson and Viola (Richey) Richarson.
Phyllis was a lifelong native and resident of Greenwood, Indiana. She worked for Eli Lilly for 28 years in Indianapolis, Indiana, until she retired.
Phyllis cherished the quality times she had traveling with her sister Shirley to places like New Orleans and Texas, just to mention a couple of cities. She enjoyed going out to the movies, playing cards and crafting. She loved greeting and visiting with her friends, making memories and spending time together. Phyllis always had an infectious smile that brought joy to others.
Survivors include her children, Allen (Elaine) Martin of Wichita Falls, TX, Yvonne (Wayne) Leslie of New Orleans, LA, James (Shirley) Cress, of Wichita Falls, TX, Scott Cress, of Greenwood, IN; her stepchildren, Connie (Rick) Byerly, of Greenwood, IN, Mark Day, of Dixon, IL, Darrel Day, of Sarasota, FL; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Shirley Mitchell, Earlene Reinhard; and grandchild, Jennifer Leslie.
