Phyllis Jean Wright, 79, of Anderson, passed away on December 22, 2021, at the Rawlins House, Pendleton.
She was born on December 8, 1942 in Anderson, the daughter of Ralph and Helen (Bales) Ohler. Phyllis graduated from Alexandria High School. She retired from East Elementary School, having worked as a cashier in the cafeteria.
Phyllis enjoyed shopping, going to Shipshewana, and playing cards. She is survived by her loving husband whom she married May 28, 1961, William Wright; daughter, Sharon (Vince) Nyboer; daughter-in-law, Corinne Wright; grandchildren, Zachary (Stephanie) Nyboer, Derek Wright (fiancé Lauren), Seth Nyboer, Danielle (Will) Clinkscales, and Delilah (Brian) Wolverton; great-grandchildren, Evan, Kali, and Charlotte; sister, Marilyn Turner and brother, Rex (Marcia) Ohler; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Ruth Voyles.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and son, David Wright.
