Phyllis J. Skaggs, Age 79, of Helena, Ohio died at her residence, Wednesday afternoon, August 28, 2013. She was born May 20, 1934, in Woodville, Ohio, to Darel and Stella Hutton. Phyllis was a housewife, a great wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid bowler and had bowled in leagues in Clay Center and Woodville. Phyllis was a former member of the Shrine of Toledo. Years ago she had worked at the former Felbinger’s and Whitehouse in Genoa.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years whom she married in Quincy, Ky. January 5, 1959 Ora Skaggs. Children, Oralane (Robert) Hays of Genoa, Charles (Nancy) Skaggs of Lorain, Jacky (June) Skaggs of Woodville, Violet (Tom) Redrup of Indian River, MI, Judith Dusseau of Genoa, Ronald (Lisa) Skaggs of Bradner and Donald (Dawn) Skaggs of Gibsonburg; 38 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Edward and Tommy Skaggs and siblings, Mick and Jim Hutton and Doris Bickers.
