Phyllis G. Gesicki, 74, of Bristol, loving wife of Henry Gesicki, passed away on Tuesday April 27, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Phyllis was born in Burlington, VT to the late Joseph and Mary (Brown) Gagnon.
Phyllis’s love for life showed us how to live, while her unconquerable spirit and courage with which she fought her disease was an inspiration to us all. While the cancer ultimately took her life, it could not defeat her spirit.
Phyllis was a member of St. Gregory Rosary Society.
She is survived by her devoted sister Theresa Bellizzi of Bristol; her brothers, Paul and his wife Rose Gagnon of White Plains, NY, Brother Louis Gagnon, S.V.D. of Bordentown, NJ, Charles and his wife Alice Gagnon of Tucson, AZ, James Gagnon of Unionville, CT, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Martell and her brothers, Rev. John Gagnon and Lawrence Gagnon.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at UCONN Medical Center and also a special thanks for the loving and caring doctors and nurses at Connecticut Hospice.
