Surviving is his daughter, Jessica Bertman of North Liberty, Indiana; step daughters, Angela, Stacy and Amy Young all of South Bend, Indiana; his brother, David (Lynn) Bertman of Mishawaka, Indiana; and nephews, Eric & Aaron Bertman of Mishawaka, Indiana.
Mr. Bertman was a veteran of the Army National Guard and had served in the Marine Corps Reserves.
