Phillip graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BBA, and worked in Investment Banking.
Phillip is survived by his son, John David Cate of the home; two grandsons, John Phillip Cate of Praire Grove, Arkansas and Christian Walker Copeland of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brothers, Jim and wife Brenda Cate of Rogers, Arkansas and Paul and wife Emily Cate of Donna, Texas.
