Philip Terry Polaski (Capt. Phil), 58, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Lawnwood Regional in Ft. Pierce, FL. He was born on February 18, 1955 in Beloit, WI to Terry and the late Margaret Polaski.
Philip grew up in Roscoe, IL. He graduated from Hononegah High School in Rockton, IL in 1973. After high school he attended the United States Naval Academy where he received his Diver First Class certification. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in October 1990. After the Navy Phil became a U.S. Merchant Marine Officer and captained Tug Boats and Barges throughout the United States.
Phil is survived by his father, Terry and his brothers Tom (Sherry) Polaski of Rockton, IL, Jeff Polaski (Craig Marketty) of Honolulu, HI and his sisters Anne (David) Patrick of Vero Beach, FL, Gina Polaski of Garfield, AK and Mary Lynn (Marco) Boscardin of Amherst, MA and his nephews Weston Polaski, Logan Patrick and Tristan Boscardin and his nieces Rylie Patrick and Adrianne Boscardin.
Phil was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Salamone Polaski.
