75, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2015 surrounded by his beloved family. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 26, 1939 to Earl and Josephine Harrington. He attended Mendal Catholic High School and graduated from St. Joseph’s collage in Rensselaer, Indiana with a degree in Math/Physics. He then went on to the University of Illinois where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. He completed his education with an MBA from the University of Chicago. Phil married his childhood sweetheart Carol Cyrol on August 26, 1961, Phil and Carol moved to Mount Prospect Illinois, to raise their family. Surviving are his wife Carol and their two children John and Michelle as well as four grandchildren; Ryan, Paige, Addie and Max. In Chicago Phil joined GTE Automatic Electric in 1962. Over the next twenty-one years he advanced to the position of Vice President of Research and Development which also involved a move to Scottsdale in 1983. He retired from GTE at the young age of 48. Phil began his second career in 1988 founding ICM Document Solutions. Under Phil’s leadership, ICM grew from just a few employees to over 150 being named one of Americas top 5000 fastest growing companies. Phil had a passion for Notre Dame football and spending time with his family.
