Peter “Pete” Schwab Age 45 of Owosso passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones.A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 am Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Michael O’Brien officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Tree Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Homes-Owosso Chapel on Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm and Friday from 2 pm to 8 pm with rosary prayed at 7pm.Pete was born June 16, 1972 in Owosso, the son of Chadwick and Maryanna (Ward) Schwab.He graduated from Owosso High School, class of 1990, earned Bachelor Degree’s from Michigan State University in 1994 and University of Michigan-Flint in 2013.Pete married Michelle Sweet at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owosso on December 16, 1995.He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owosso and treasurer of Owosso Knights of Columbus. Pete was an avid MSU fan, enjoyed fixing and putting things together and loved to laugh and smile. Most of all he loved watching and supporting his boys in their many sporting events and activities. Pete was employed for the past 4 years at Hurley Medical Center and had a passion for his job as an ER Nurse.He is survived by his wife of 22 years Michelle; sons Zachary Schwab, Ryan Schwab, Alex Schwab and Matthew Schwab; parents Chadwick and Maryanna; brother Jason (April) Schwab; sisters Jennifer Schwab and Kari (Brent) Klein; father and mother-in-law James and Sue Sweet; brothers and sisters-in-law James (Kristine) Sweet and Lisa (Joseph) Greenfelder; many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.He was predeceased by his grandparents and infant brother Brian.Memorial contributions are suggested to the family to be used for his children’s educational fund.
