Peter Joseph Smith of Canon City, previously of Bailey, passed away at his home on August 14, 2014. Pete was born February 15, 1969 in Denver. A commercial plumber and graduate of Platte Canyon High School, he worked for many years for Boshnick Mechanical Contractors. He is survived by his parents, John and Betty Smith of Las Cruces NM; sons, Joseph Cole Smith of Canon City and Ty Smith of Orange, TX; brother, Greg Smith of Cornville, AZ; nephew, Zane Smith of Norton, KS; and granddaughter, Aspen Smith of Canon City. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jake Smith in 2007; and daughter, Bailey Grisenti Smith in 1998.
