Peter J. Christein, 32, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He was the husband of Heather L. (Gardiner) Christein, who stayed faithfully by his side during his year-long illness. They were married on December 31, 1997 and shared the blessing of a son in November of 2004, Peter J. Christein II, who will carry on his father’s legacy of enduring strength and love. Pete is also survived by his father, Gerald N. Christein and his girlfriend Christine Mann of New Tripoli and his mother, Frances (Sandor) Anders and her husband Bud of Port Charlotte, Florida; brothers, Brian and his wife Lorie of Northampton and Eric, of Allentown, nieces and nephews. Pete was a Liberty High School Graduate, Class of 1993, and served in the United States Army, Company A, 3’rd Battalion, 32nd Infantry. He worked for Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel for 8 years as an Operations Manager. He was a member of St. Anne’s Church, Bethlehem.
