Brunswick – Peter Henry St. Germain, I, 75, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
He was son of the late Armand St. Germain and Marie Duchenes St. Germain and husband for 53 years of Anna L. Romanelli St. Germain. He was born in Fall River, MA and as a child moved to Averill Park. Peter then married and lived in South Troy until 1976, when they moved to Brunswick. He attended Averill Park High School.
Peter was owner and operator of Kennedy’s of Troy t/a St. Germain’s Garage Inc., auto repair and towing from 1965-2010.
He was a classic car enthusiast and was founder and owner of the Kennedy’s Garage Racing 8 Team at Lebanon Valley Speedway during the 1970’s. Peter would always lend a helping hand to family, friends and strangers alike.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Peter (Karen) St. Germain, II, Poestenkill and Paul (Samara) St. Germain, Fort Collins, CO; a daughter, Melissa Templin, Lansingburgh; three grandchildren, Andrew, Laura and Willow St. Germain; his siblings, Robert (Mary Lou) St. Germain, FL, Jocelyn (John) Ronesi, Waterford and Michael (Gail) St. Germain, Taborton and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Armand, Paul and a twin brother, John.
