Indian Trail – Peter Vincent Colangelo, 76, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at CHS-Pineville. Born March 27, 1940, in the Bronx in NYC, to the late Vincent and Ann Colangelo. Peter and his wife Gloria June just recently celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary.
Peter graduated in 1963 from the University of Scranton (PA) with a Bachelor of Psychology degree. He had a diverse professional life-including time as a production assistant on the game shows “The Price is Right” & “What’s My Line?” Later he followed his entrepreneurial spirit to Florida to eventually become the owner-operator of four restaurants. After moving to North Carolina he enjoyed a successful career as a restaurant equipment manufacturer’s representative. Peter was an accomplished baseball player, garnering a contract offer from the Los Angeles Dodgers while still in High School. He was an avid fan of baseball and football and loved his and June’s frequent vacations to Las Vegas. A doting father and grandfather, Peter took great pride in the accomplishments of his family.
