Mr. Peter Butkevich, 97, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 3, 2021. He passed peacefully at the home he shared with his daughter, Karen, and her family. He was surrounded by loved ones. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Gustafson) Butkevich.
Peter was born August 24, 1924, in Oakville, to John & Anna Butkevich. Peter was a decorated WWII veteran serving in the U.S Armed Forces as a staff sergeant from 1943-1945 in the 15th AAF squadron. He flew 35 missions over Italy and Germany as a ball-turret gunner on a B-24 Liberator bomber.
