Pete Giaquinto, 78, of Clarksburg, a loving husband, father and brother, is now out of our embrace into Heaven’s peace and grace, on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 following a brief illness.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on August 19, 1931, the son of the late, Thomas and Mary Tambate Giaquinto.
He was married on October 28, 1951 to his late wife, Genalee Giaquinto whom preceded him in death on October 19, 2008.
He is survived by three daughters, Rose Sterling and husband Steve of Sun Valley, Mary Ann Straley and husband Vince of Clarksburg, Jeanie Cuppett and husband Jeff of Bridgeport; four grandchildren and their spouses, Seanna Pugh and husband Rob, Matt Straley and wife Amy, Sarah Yoos and husband Tim, and Lydia Taylor and her fiancé Matt Heatwole; seven great-grandchildren, Emilee, Cassie, Travis and Leah Pugh, Tanner and Cooper Straley, and Isabella Yoos. He is also survived by two brothers, Frank Giaquinto of Clarksburg, Jenio Giaquinto and wife Dorothy, Canonsburg, PA; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Giaquinto also has extended family living in France.
In addition to his parents, and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Isabella Audia and Rose Duchi; and one brother, Joseph “Peppy” Giaquinto.

Mr. Giaquinto lived his life fully and will be remembered for his sense of humor. He served in the US Marines during the Korean Conflict. He began work at the Hazel Atlas Glass Plant, later known as, and retried from Anchor Hocking. He loved gardening and many were the recipients of those fruitful gardens and he was an avid hunter as well.
