A Dedicated Wife, Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother Peggy Jo Shipley, age 65, of New Meadows Idaho went home to Heaven after a long courageous battle with cancer March 7th, 2014 at her home in New Meadows, Idaho. She was a wonderful example of faith, hope, and love. Peggy was born June 15, 1948, in Burns, OR to Ernest and Cleo Terry. When she was 15 years old she met the love of her life Bill, and they were married two years later on March 12th, 1966 in Parma, Idaho.  Shortly after they were married Peggy and Bill moved to Missouri where they raised their two sons Bill Jr., and Randy. In the summer of 1984 Peggy moved with her family back to Idaho, and they chose to make New Meadows their home. Peggy worked for the McCall hospital and at a few other local businesses until she decided that she was called into the home health field where she took others into her home, and loved them like her own family. She was an active member at Council Valley Assembly of God, and was very involved in the women’s’ ministries group. Peggy loved the Lord with all her heart, and one of her favorite Bible verses was John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  Peggy loved to travel, hunt, fish, camp, and ride her four-wheeler. She enjoyed many things, but the thing she loved most of all was her family.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children will arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised” Proverbs 31:25-30
