Peggy Jane Kelley – July 19, 1934 to May 15, 2011
Born outside Polo, Missouri, to Ines Gertrude Watson and James Levi Campbell, Peggy Jane Kelley grew up with her younger sister and brother, Phyllis Campbell Mallow and James Lee Campbell.
From Polo, her life’s path found adventure as she moved to Kansas City, Missouri, Cameron, Missouri, Independence, Missouri, Wichita, Kansas, Phoenix, Arizona, Napa, California, St. Louis, Missouri and Carmel, California. She was known for her flare in decorating and always made each house her own.
If nothing else, Peggy was a golfer. If she wasn’t telling you the details of her most recent round of golf, she talked about her many faithful friends who stood by her side at all times. Her pride in her children and grandchildren gave her life meaning.
From her marriage to Robert Harley McKee, Peggy’s children are Sherri Foster and her children Marlowe Adrian Quart, Linden Foster and Allen Edwin Foster, Kathleen McKee Johnson, her husband Michael Allen Johnson and their children Dustin Michael Johnson, Chelsea Michelle Johnson and Robert Luke Johnson, and Robert Thomas McKee, his wife Tracey Kay McKee, Thomas Harley McKee, Matthew William McKee.
She maintained close relationships with her niece Christy Janeen Campbell and nephew Kreg Mallow, as well as his sister Denise Mallow.
Peggy lived a charmed life and met every disappointment with a new success. We will all remember her amazing fortitude and will to live. She inspired many to keep going even when there seemed to be no hope.
