Peggy Pickell, 74, a lifetime resident of Madrid, Iowa, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Mary Greely Hospital in Ames following a brief illness. Peggy was born in Boone, Iowa to Rawleigh and Mildred Hoover. She graduated from Madrid High School and was married to the love of her life, Lonnie for 43 years.
Peggy was an avid animal lover, raising and showing quarter horses in her younger years. Peggy enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and knitting.
Peggy was employed for many years and retired from the data processing department at Iowa State University.
She is survived by her husband, her Aunt Ardith Brown, many sisters and brothers in law, and several nieces and nephews.
