PEARL MILES, daughter of the late Barry and Violet Randolph, was born February 28, 1933, in Cuba, Alabama, where she graduated from Kinterbish High School in 1957.
PEARL decided to leave her hometown in 1958 only a year afer graduation to live in Indianapolis, Indiana. In 1973 she relocated to Saginaw, Michigan, then back to Indianapolis, Indiana, by 1984.
PEARL worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital, from where she retired.
PEARL MILES departed this life Monday, November 14, 2022, at the age of eighty-nine just three months short of her nintieth birthday.
PEARL MILES leaves to cherish her memory: her three children, Rosie Austin of York, Alabama, Carl E. Cheers, Sr., and David Samuels of Indianapolis, Indiana; eight grandkids, Latoya Wade, Slyretta Simpson, Terrell Cheers, Iasia Cheers, Keisha Lee, David Samuels, Jr., Sharicka Samuels, and Jaden Samuels; twelve great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who loved her as well.
PEARL MILES was one of eight siblings, sisters Maxine Williams and Mary White of “Indianapolis Indiana” and Gwendolyn Randolph of “New Orleans Louisiana” are her living siblings that will cherish her memory. She has two brothers her twin Earl Randolph and Esther Randolph and two sisters Junie Kate Davis and Doris Randolph who preceded her in death.
PEARL MILES loved God, and she loved to talk about how good He was in her life. She didn’tmind quotinga scripture andprayingout loud for anyone. She was a baritone singer for the Grace Believers gospel group. She loved to sing!!! Her favorite song was “We Come Tis Far by Faith.”
FUN FACTS ABOUT “TEEN,” she didn’t mind telling you how she felt. She was jazzy and loved dressing up from head to toe. She loved her children and all of her family near and far.
