Pearl G. Hartman, 103, of Williamsport went to be with her Lord, Thursday, July 6, 2017 surrounded by family at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.

 

Born April 3, 1914 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Ezra and Caroline (Ulmer) Waltz.  Pearl was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years R. Frank Hartman on June 17, 1986, and also a brother Ernest Waltz in 1990.

 

Pearl was a 1932 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a medical secretary at Dr. Gehron’s office and Dr. Yusai’s office for several years, and also worked at Jackson Elementary School. She was a member of the former Memorial Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Pearl enjoyed being part of the Newberry and Ravine Road Senior Citizen groups. She volunteered at the information desk at the Williamsport Hospital and was also part of the Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo.

 

Surviving are two sons; Fred L. (Ginny) Hartman of Linden, and Gary W. (Marlene) Hartman of Manheim; six grandchildren Cyndi (Dean) Burkholder, Crystal (Vince) Smith, Gina Ervin, Melissa Augistinie, Chad (Jennifer) Hartman, and Kyle (Dawn) Yorty; 12 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
