Muncie – Pauline Russell-Smith, 97, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Community Parkview Care Center in Elwood following an extended illness.
Pauline was born in Muncie on November 9, 1914, the daughter of Edward and Josephine (Tuttle) Morgan, and attended Muncie Schools.
Mrs. Smith worked for over twenty-five years with Kresge/Kmart, and was a life long resident of Muncie. She moved to Elwood in 2008.
Survivors include four sons, Charlie Russell, San Antonio, Texas, Frank Russell, (wife-Cathy), Surprise, Arizona, Fred Russell, (wife-Peggy), Austin, Texas; and Jerry Russell, Muncie; two daughters, Loretta Paikos, (husband-Henry), Lecanto, Florida, Joyce Leicht, Elwood; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Charlie Russell, and William Smith, a son, Joesph Russell, a daughter, Gloria Russell, two brothers, Virgil and Judd Morgan; and five sisters, Emma, Anna, Ruth, Lydia, and Nina.
