Pauline M. Patterson, 84, of Jacksonville, IL, died Monday, May 31, 2021, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing & Rehab.
She was born Sept. 1, 1936, in Chesterfield, the daughter of Paul and Margaret Randolph Lewis. She married Raymond A. “Pat” Patterson on Sept. 29, 1956, in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2012.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Patterson (Ed Rathgeb) of Jacksonville; and one sister, Donna (Jerry) Hasse of Pawnee. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Randy Ray “Big Dog” Patterson; one sister, Wanda Baldwin; and two brothers, Ernie Lewis and Malcolm Lewis.
Mrs. Patterson was a 1954 graduate of Greenfield High School. Early in her life, she worked in a clerical position for the State of Illinois. She then became a stay-at-home mom, and also babysat for many other children. She was a longtime member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Pauline and her family enjoyed camping and boating.
