Muncie- Pauline Elizabeth Sunderland, 88, the dearest and finest mother, passed away early Friday morning, February 25, 2011, at her residence following an extended illness. Her loving family was by her side. She was born on March 5, 1922 in Muncie.
Pauline married the love of her life Wayne Sunderland in 1940 in Muncie and he preceded her in death in 2000. She had worked for Ball State University as a Supervisor in the Housekeeping dept, for residence halls for 28yrs. and she loved her job. Mrs.
Surviving are her daughter, Darlene Taylor (husband-Freddie), Muncie; four grandchildren, Brad and Kelly Luttrell and Clint and Shonda Jackson all of Muncie; eight great grandchildren, Dustin and Shane Oliver, Kayla and Tiffany Jackson, Michael and Desire’ Reid, Hali Cloyd, all of Muncie, Christopher Luttrell, Kenosha, Wisconsin; two great great grand grandchildren, Paige Elizabeth Oliver and Charlie Benson, Muncie; a special granddaughter-in-law, Diane Luttrell, Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Besides her husband of 60yrs, Wayne, she is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Sunderland and Mildred Furst; and one brother-in-law, Russell Furst.
