Pauline, the daughter of Clint W. and Pearl B. (Bollinger) Alford, was born in Jasper County, Iowa. She was a lifelong resident of Newton and a graduate of Newton High School. Pauline was united in marriage with Bob Tabor on February 16, 1947, in Athena, KS. She worked for the Newton Police Department as a Meter Maid for 16 years.
Pauline is survived by her children: Richard “Rick” (Midge) Tabor of Des Moines, Pam (Darrell) Smith of Newton, and Randy Tabor of Newton; grandchildren: Troy (Amber) Tabor of Newton, Robin Southern of Newton, Niki Stephen of Newton, Tina Sanders of Grinnell, Ryan (Danielle) Tabor of Newton, and Matt (Esther) Tabor of Owatonna, MN; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; her sister, Lois Timmons of Newton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; daughter, Paula Jean Ervin; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; and a son-in-law, Rick Ervin.
