Pauline A. Werkman, 94, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving children on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, in the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s in Lower Saucon Twp. She was the wife of the late John Werkman who died on 4/18/2002. Born in South Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Agnes (Baraniak) Bankowski. Pauline worked for the Bethlehem Fabricators for over 30 years until retiring. She was a member of Our Lord’s Ascension Polish National Catholic Church, where she served on the ladies Adoration Society. Survivors: she will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Jacqueline Bayak and her husband Ronald of Bethlehem; son John “Pundy” Werkman, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Kreidersville; brothers Stanley Bankowski of Breinigsville and Bernard Bankowski and his wife Marie of Bethlehem; grandchildren Paulette and Tonya; step-grandchildren Ronnie, Connie and Laina; 4 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur.
