Paula Kay (Dunn) Johnson, age 54, of Fairmount, IN died Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Marion General Hospital in Marion, IN. She attended Fairmount Wesleyan Church and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 313 in Fairmount. She loved to cook and garden. Paula took care of others and was an advocate for those in need. She loved, and often rescued, animals of all kinds. She prayed regularly for her family.
Paula graduated from Madison-Grant High School in 1978 and Ball Memorial Hospital School of Radiology in 1980. She worked as a Radiology Technician for many years.
She was the daughter of Michael Dunn and Donna (Atkins) Brookshire, born January 8, 1960 in Marion, Indiana.
She is survived by her husband Mark Johnson, whom she married July 15, 1993; two daughters, Amanda Lyons, Coldwater, MI and Allison (Kevin) VanPatten, Lebanon, IN; step-son Aaron Johnson, Marion, IN; mother Donna (Robert) Brookshire, Marion, IN; father Michael (Loa) Dunn, Dry Ridge, KY; brother Sid (Andrea) Dunn, Fairmount, IN; half-brother Andrew (Misty) Dunn, Hebron, KY; two step-brothers, Rob (Robin) Brookshire, Marion, IN and Randy (Wendy) Brookshire, Gas City, IN; two step-grandsons, Tyson Johnson and Derek Click; nieces and nephew, Victoria Dunn, Cole, Cassidy and Sawyer Rose Dunn, Breanna and Emily Brookshire.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Omer and Virginia Atkins and Rev. Kenneth and Maxine Dunn.
