Paula Kay Bohmsach, 45, Town of Saratoga, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 18, 2013.
Paula was born December 14, 1967 in Friendship, Wisconsin to Paul and Lillian (Glubka) Garbisch. She lived in Dellwood, Wisconsin on the Dellaire Resort and attended Adams-Friendship High School until the age of 16. She moved to Wisconsin Rapids and attended Lincoln High School her junior and senior year, graduating in 1986. She briefly attended Mid-State Technical College for child care. Paula married Keith Bohmsach on April 14, 1989.
She worked for 7 years at Copps Food Center in Wisconsin Rapids. For the past 18 years, she has served as a day nanny for many area families including the Rustedts, Shrodas, Overfelts, Walczaks, and most recently the Chet Price and Lisa Olson family.
Paula loved physical fitness and worked out daily. She was a very generous and giving person who had a true zest for life. Over the years she grew very close to the families she served and attended many of their children?s activities. Paula was an animal lover, adopting several pets from the local humane society. She enjoyed daily walks with her dog ?Sam?. Paula liked country music and was a huge Kenney Chesney fan. She also enjoyed local stock car racing and served on her husband Keith?s pit crew for several years.
Paula is survived by her husband, Keith; two sisters: Heidi Gross (special friend Brian Babcock) of Friendship, and Deborah Staskus (special friend Dave Stys) of Austin, Texas; father-in-law, Gary (Mary) Bohmsach of Wisconsin Rapids; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brian (Julie) Bohmsach of Waunakee; and nephews: Tyler and Kyle Bohmsach of Waunakee and Raefe Gross of Wisconsin Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and mother-in-law, Joy Bohmsach.
